| Above her lives a retired couple who have a dog named Jack, and they quickly become acquainted. One day, while Lisa is out walking Jack and her puppies, the dogs break free and interrupt a proposal on the beach. It turns out that it is David, Lisa's childhood friend and ex-boyfriend, who is proposing to his new girlfriend. Lisa is completely taken aback; she had convinced herself that she was over David, but it is clear that this affects her more than she is willing to admit.
